Are you a novice cytometrist looking to bulk up your knowledge and skills? Or perhaps you've been working in conventional cytometry for some time, but are looking to break in to cell sorting or spectral cytometry. To aid you in that goal, FluoroFinder offers self-guided training modules for Conventional Flow Cytometry (Flow Cytometry Essentials), Spectral Flow Cytometry, and Cell Sorting.
FluoroFinder subscribers to the "Industry Plus" and "Academic Plus" levels have full access to each of these informational series. by logging in to their upgraded account, and clicking the "Training" link from the dashboard.
The Training dashboard will load, allowing you to choose your training module:
Clicking any of these buttons will take you to the associated training module. Today, we'll look at "Flow Cytometry Essentials"
Within the "Flow Cytometry Essentials" module, we can see 5 sections, labeled FCE 1 through FCE 5. Each of these sections is expandable (by clicking on it). Let's expand FCE 1:
Within the expanded FCE 1 category, we can see 4 videos (FCE1-1 through FCE1-4), and one quiz. In this case, you can see that each of the videos and quizzes has been completed, represented by the 
icon. To view a video, simply click the video title. Lets click FCE 1-1:
In response, the associated video loads on your screen. There are controls to Play/Pause/Modify Playback at the bottom of each video for easy review. Once you've completed watching a video, the video will mark as "complete" for the purpose of completing the course
Following a series of videos, you will be presented with a quiz. Quizzes test your retention of the knowledge from the prior videos, and must be passed with at least an 80%.
When you finish watching all videos and completing all quizzes from a given section, FluoroFinder will generate a "Completion Certificate" that may be downloaded and distributed as proof of your completion. This certificate can be accessed within the module, by clicking the link "View Completion Certificate" at the top right hand corner of the page. NOTE: This certificate will only appear once you've completed ALL videos and trainings in the section.
