The ability to create and manage groups within FluoroFinder enables users to easily share experiment designs (panels) and inventory reagents with other users of the group. This file outlines the various ways to create a group within FluoroFinder:
1. DURING REGISTRATION
2. FROM THE "CREATE A GROUP" PAGE
3. DURING THE SAVE PROCESS IN "PANEL BUILDER"
*****DURING REGISTRATION*****
The second step of the registration process asks the registering user if they would like to create a group and invite any users:
Simply enter your new "Group Name" in the top box, and any FluoroFinder registered email addresses (separated by semicolons ;) in the lower box and proceed to the next step. Your group will be created, and existing registered FluoroFinder users who were invited will receive notifications asking them to join.

Following account creation, a user can create a group from the "Create Group" page, accessible from the drop-down menu (indicated by the user's name and subscription level) at the top right hand of the page.
Clicking this link will take the user to the "Create Group" dialogue (see below):
Simply enter your new "Group Name" into the top box, and any registered FluoroFinder email addressed you'd like to invite into the "Invite Researchers to Your Group" entry fields, and click "Create Group and Send Invitations" to finalize group creation.
*****DURING THE SAVE PROCESS IN "PANEL BUILDER"*****
You may not realize you'd like to share an experiment or panel with a group until after you've finished designing it. FluoroFinder allows for Group creation directly within the "Save" dialogue of the Panel Builder. To save, a user first clicks the "Save" icon (
). This will open the Save Dialogue:
Within this dialogue, click "Create a new lab" (see image above). Clicking this link will take the user to the "Create Group" dialogue (see below):
Simply enter your new "Group Name" into the top box, and any registered FluoroFinder email addressed you'd like to invite into the "Invite Researchers to Your Group" entry fields, and click "Create Group and Send Invitations" to finalize group creation.
