Changing or Adding your Institution and Facility in your FluoroFinder Profile

How to manage your designated Institution and Facility to best leverage FluoroFinder's features

Many features of FluoroFinder (Spectra Viewer, Panel Builder, etc.) leverage custom cytometer configurations to allow users to quickly and easily select a machine matching their desired setup.  This allows users to ensure that the experiment they are building/reviewing is accurately represented on their instrument of choice.

Within FluoroFinder, these custom cytometer configurations are housed in "Facilities" (which can be though of as a lab) within larger "Institutions" (companies/universities/etc.).  Associating your profile with your "Institution" and "Facility" ensures you have access to the custom configurations they house.

Associating your profile with an "Institution" and "Facility" can be done during the second step of registration to the site, when asked to "Select your Institution"

First enter your Institution name (e.g. University of South Florida), select the matching entry,
and then select the appropriate Facility from the populated drop-down list

Alternatively, if you did not specify an Institute or Facility during account registration, or you need to change your Institute or Facility, you can do so by navigating to the "My Account" page.  This can be found by clicking the tile with your name and subscription status at the top right hand corner of any FluoroFinder screen:

From the drop-down list, select "My Account":

Click the "Institution and Facility" header to expand the section:

Enter your "Institution" and select the matching entry from the drop-down box.  Then select the appropriate "Facility" from the "Facility" drop-down box (note, only existing Facilities associated with the selected Institution will show).

If your Institution or Facility are not shown, see our help file on "How to - Add Facility Cytometers to FluoroFinder"

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page, enter your "Current Password" in the associated box, and click "Update Profile" to finalize the changes

You will be presented with a message that your account was updated successfully:

Once complete, you will now have access to the "Custom Dashboard" for your Facility by clicking "Dashboards" and selecting the matching name from the drop-down list:

Additionally, your custom cytometer configurations will automatically be available from the drop-down lists in the Spectra Viewer and Panel Builder.
